I am getting older

This is Kelly Issel, when I first met her many years ago she was about 4 years old.  I watched over her in the nursery and then taught her at Sunday School.  I got to see her while in Canada after many years and she is a beautiful teenager who has committed to praying for me while on the field!

Oh Canada!!

After 3 years of being in Africa, I am back in Canada!! I have not been diligent in posting blogs in the last few months, a combination of lots of travel, business and procrastination.  I hope to get better at it this year :0))

While in Canada, I have spent time with friends and family during the Christmas season.

We drove to the hotel for a few hours of relaxation
saw the zebras but they did not want to pose with Shannon

The local 5 star hotel allows us to come by, it is right on the water
so its very beautiful and relaxing

Most days when I see elephants I am always driving by them, some days I
remind myself to (stop and smell the roses) this was one of those days.  I just never get
tired of watching the wildlife here!

These children are carrying water to their gardens at school,
which provide veggies for their lunch.

The boys are taking home grass that they have cut down
to be used for roofs, fencing and other other things

Pumping water for their households can sometimes take half a day
