I had the opportunity to go to the Musukotwane Sector today with sector managers Rod and Christine Westbrook. They have been working in the sector for about a year doing discipleship and evangelism and felt that it was time to introduce the LIFE Project.
Education seems to be important in this sector, there were 2 schools that we visited that needed help and direction in the quality of education. In Africa this is an event where all the members of the community come together and we chat with all of them and when you have all their support then you carry on with your programs.
So we met with 2 different villages one that uses a church hut as their venue and the other just met outside under a big tree.
While the ladies got the lunch ready, tuna sandwiches and apples, the boys got the billy galloping for tea.

Rod was also able to help with some rearrangement of the borehole run off. Normally the water runs off and the cows and other animals come right close to the pump to drink water while children and babies play around while their moms pump water which spreads sickness and diseases. So Rod brought in a long pipe to get the water to drain away from the pump.
